Corporate Social Responsibility and Employee Engagement
Corporate Social Responsibility and recycling.
The Tavcor Motor Group runs a recycling program that includes the sale of all used Oil, Paper, Metals and Tyres. The proceeds are used to support our charities: Buyiselekhaya, Happy Feet and Cheshire charities and our staff initiatives: ERC CARES, TMG Keypers and the TAVCOR Wellness Program.
In addition to our recycling, we also support Mandela Day every year. The recipients from the 2016 initiative were: Animal Welfare, BEN SINUKA Classroom Project, Igazi Foundation, Buyiselekhaya Feeding Scheme and the Hope Baby Foundation.
The latest project we are working on is the Silindokuhle Pre-School in Joe Slovo settlement. We are assisting with the building materials, logistics and classroom supplies.
Our programs involve every member of staff in the Tavcor family and the Employee Representative Committee (ERC) run these initiatives centrally.
We make a consistent effort to engage with our staff in a positive manner and involve them in our community.
Employee engagement and satisfaction are measured monthly via the Tavcor Employee Satisfaction Index (TESi) and our annually via our Tavcor Climate Survey.
